We purchased a cottage in Laguna beach built in 1937 and wanted to keep all of its charm, but modernize it for our family. Gregg Abel and his team did an amazing job of bringing our dream home to life while keeping the cottage style, and at the same time added wonderful touches to make it modern for our family. We get compliments on our home every weekend as people walk by, and highly recommend Gregg!

We retained Gregg to design a vacation home on our lot in Promontory community in Park City , Utah. He quickly got a sense of the architectural style of the community. The design included the aspects we wanted included in our home as well as additional creative ideas we never would have thought of. He was able to reach out and assimulate all the municipal and private community code and design requirements. He established fruitful relationships with those key people paving a way for development of our potential new home. Gregg listened carefully to what we needed. We wound up buying another home but he has continued to work with us on improvements to that residence. His responses have always been timely and he is fun to work with.

Gregg worked as both the designer and contractor on a restaurant we opened nine years ago in Laguna Beach. And it is one of the most beautiful and beloved spaces in the city. Laguna Beach can be tricky to navigate when it comes to construction, and Gregg is the master. His family has been building in Laguna Beach for generations and the Abel name is held in extremely high esteem. Gregg knows every facet of the city and what it takes to get a project built. He is dependable, honest, and incredibly hard working. But more than that, he cares. Tirelessly and with the upmost patience and respect, he works toward the end of getting a project built the way it was intended.

A master craftsman, Gregg is old school when it comes to details and his passion for design. A door becomes a statement, a column transforms into a showpiece. Each project he touches bears his signature craftsmanship and artistry.

Most of all though is what a pleasure it is to work with such a fine man. He treats people with respect and radiates positivity. It was a pleasure working with him and a privilege to get to know him. Together we created a restaurant that is a cornerstone of the community. It was a daunting undertaking, and without Gregg, it would not be what it is.
